About the Poet
Ashish Kumar Verma is a trailblazer who became the first person in India with Cerebral Palsy to clear the UPSC Civil Services Examination. A 2012-batch Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer, he currently serves as Additional CDA in Patna. Beyond his administrative career, he is a distinguished literary voice. He is a Patna University gold medalist in Hindi Literature and the author of the published poetry collection ‘Varidhi’. His life is a testament to academic excellence and the power of creative expression over physical limitations.

UPSC cleared in 2012. First person in India with Cerebral Palsy to achieve this. Joined the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), Batch 2012. Currently posted as Additional CDA, Patna.
2012 में यूपीएससी सिविल सेवा परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण। सेरेब्रल पाल्सी के साथ यह उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाले भारत के प्रथम व्यक्ति। भारतीय रक्षा लेखा सेवा (IDAS), 2012 बैच के अधिकारी। वर्तमान में अपर नियंत्रक रक्षा लेखा (ACDA), पटना के पद पर कार्यरत।

स्पंदन एवं बिहार गौरव सम्मान
Received Spandan (Best Divyangjan in India) Award by National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in 2012. Conferred with Bihar Gaurav Award 2012 by the Governor of Bihar.
वर्ष 2012 में सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय के नेशनल ट्रस्ट द्वारा 'स्पंदन' (सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिव्यांगजन) पुरस्कार से सम्मानित। इसी वर्ष बिहार के राज्यपाल द्वारा 'बिहार गौरव सम्मान' प्राप्त।
